September Spring

I have had a great week busy, but great.
I have had two meeting this week plus a PD (Professional Development) on Thursday and then speaking at Youth on Friday night. The PD was great and it was also a time to catch up with the other Chaplains in the area. It was a great day.

So after all this, yes I was looking forward to the weekend and a bit of a sleep in.
It is only about two weeks until the school holidays and I am really looking forward to the break.
This term has been packed and I cannot believe how fast it has gone.
Last night I had Worship practise and I love singing and praising God. This is where my heart feels so full.

Today we celebrated one of my nieces first Birthday 1 year old. Her birthday is on the 23 of September but some people will be away for it so we celebrated early.
She looked so lovely in her green tutu dress and her gorgeous smile. Precious lovely.
I think that she enjoyed the paper from the presents just as much as her presents.
Love creating memories with family and friends.

Loving life and trying to find the balance between work and rest.

How do you find the balance?

What do you do to create memories?

September 2014

I now find myself in the month of September and in the month of Spring one of my favourite seasons. There is only 2 weeks left of the school term. I cannot believe how fast this term has flown by.
I must say that I am feeling very tired today, I think that things have caught up with me.
I don’t really have a theme for September’s blog, I am just going to embrace each day and see what happens. The theme for September could be Spring.
This Friday I am really looking forward to speaking at Youth Group. The topic I am speaking on is from my blog I am a work in progress. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to speak to youth.

I am looking forward to the school holidays and catching up with friends and family. I am not working this school holidays which is amazing for me.
I realised that when I went to Sydney for the Conference that I needed to look after myself.
I need to find the balance between work and rest.
It is a work in progress.

I hope that Spring inspires you to follow your dreams and your goals.
I also hope that you are able to take some time out for yourself and to rest.
Enjoy.

Will share more soon.

I Am a Work in Progress

Last week I had a break from my blog, I spent time creating memories, spending time with family and friends.

It was really refreshing I was able to catch up with my sister who had been away and I loved catching up with her and hearing about her adventures over a glass of wine.
Then I was spontaneous and we went out for dinner mid-week which was also a nice change to the week.
On Saturday I caught up with a friend and we went to a Christian Bookstore and chatted over coffee. I love our friendship we don’t see each other for a while and then when we catch up it’s like we carry on from the last time we met. Then we had a look around the bookstore and yes I did buy just two books.

Saturday afternoon I had my nieces for a sleep over.
I love having them over and just creating memories.
We started by going food shopping and buying what we needed for our movie marathon.
Then when we arrived home it was time for ice cream and one of the movies.
I love how they are excited about everything, ice cream, movies, making pizzas for dinner, making popcorn, and eating chips and chocolate.
Yes I do spoil them but that is the job of an Aunty.

I also made them pancakes with strawberries for breakfast.
They also created, I finally learnt how to make a loom bracelet. Yeah! They painted, used I-Clay, drew and read books.
It was such a lovely weekend and yes we will do it again.
I know that spending time with them just makes me slow down and also that I am right in the moment, taking in what they are enjoying. I loved seeing them watch the movies and then hearing the crunch and munch of popcorn and chips being eaten by the handful. I love hearing them laugh at the movies and then sing through the movies.

I am a work in progress and I learn new things everyday.

Will share more soon.
