There are days that I can get so caught up in what I am not doing and forget about what I have achieved.
Has this happened to you?
We forget to focus on the amazing things that we have done.
We forget to look at the positive things in our lives.
We forget to say to ourselves, well done for today.
We can become so consumed by the negative thoughts that we have.
I have shared before that I work as a primary school Chaplain and I love my job.
I talk to a lot of students who may be focusing on the negatives, who feel that they cannot see a positive in their lives.
I always come back to-
Today I am Grateful for…………………….
I suggest that they have lovely journal that they can write in and a lovely pen.
I suggest to them to write down what they are grateful for today. They can do this just before they go to bed at night.
It can be the little things like-
I have a bed to sleep in
I have friends
I get to go to school and learn
I have a pet.
I need to remind myself as well sometimes that there are so many things that I can be grateful for.
Buy you a lovely journal
Buy yourself a beautiful pen.
Every night before you go to bed write 5 things that you are grateful for.
