Write the Vision

Write the Vision

Reading-

Habakkuk 1:2

Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

Devotional-

I love this scripture, I love how it says write the vision and make it plain.

When I first became a Christian there was so much that I wanted to do, I had a list that was so long.

I had not brought my dreams and plans to God.

I had not come to him in prayer and asked him what he wanted me to do.

I have now come to realise that God has given me and you, talents & gifts that he wants me and you to use.

I know for me that this took time, what was my strengths, what was my gifts?

I needed to pray?

I needed to seek wise counsel?

I really wanted to use my gifts for God, that has always been on my heart.

It took time, it took prayer, it took His time.

For me, I went through an illness where I really needed to press into God.

I knew that I could not do this on my own.

He was there for me, even when I did not see what he was doing.

I did know that he was making away.

He was there He was helping me to write my vision.

He was there helping me to refine my vision.

Today I want to ask you what is your vision?

What is God saying to you?

What is He wanting you to do?

Write it down?

Buy yourself a journal and write it down.

Remember to write down today’s date and write down what He is saying to you.

Share with someone you trust what God is saying to you.

Let’s encourage one another.

You are amazing.

Proverbs 31:8-9
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Devotional
I don’t know about you but I love this verse, it moves me to compassion it moves me to make a difference, it moves me to speak out.
It moves me to speak out even if my voice shakes.
Yes, it does!
I work as a primary school Chaplain and I love my role, I really do.
There are sometimes that I need to speak up there are sometimes when I need to have those difficult conversations.
They are not always easy, but they are necessary.
I also am a mentor for girls and women going through an eating disorder and I love this role.
I love this role where I am able to share my journey and help others.
I do need to speak truth and compassion in this role.
I am not a person who loves confrontation, I really am not.
I tend to shrink back.
I have come to realise for me that when there is injustice it moves me.
Where there is injustice I am moved to speak up, I am moved to make a difference.
I am prepared to stand in the gap to help others.
I know that I am not doing this alone and I know that God is with me.
I am always prayerful when these situations arise.
What is something that you stand up for?
What is something that you are passionate about?
What moves you?
I would love to hear from you.

The Woman  who had been Unwell

Recovery is a journey it is not one straight line and that is okay.

I love the story in Mark 5:25-34 it is about a woman who had been unwell for a while and needed a miracle. She knew that if she just touched Jesus she would be healed. I admire this woman she had, had enough of being unwell. She put her faith into action and was healed.

It took a decision for her to realise that she had enough of being unwell. She also had to make her way to where Jesus was and to push past the crowd. I wonder what she was thinking as she did this, I wonder if she was nervous or excited. It must have taken all of her energy to reach out and touch Jesus clothes. She had faith.

The part that encourages me and helped me was when He said to her “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”

Wow!

This scripture encouraged me, in my recovery I wanted to be a woman of faith.

Now, I was not healed instantly, mine was a journey of discovering who I really was. I am okay with my recovery journey, it is my unique story. It took time.

Recovery looks different for everyone, so let’s not compare our journey with others.

You are you. You are created for a purpose on purpose.

Your journey of recovery is yours to explore, to realise that you are a gift and to trust and have faith.

So be kind to yourself, every day is a new day.

Do something nice for yourself.

Buy a nice journal and a lovely pen and write draw.

Maybe buy yourself a nice perfume and wear it every day.

Remember these words-

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”

Proverbs 3:6-6

Proverbs 3:6-6

Proverbs 3_5,6 (1)

Reading

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Devotional

I love how when you read scripture, that sometimes verses just leap from the page as to get your attention.

They seem to be saying this is what you need today for your daily walk.

Proverbs 3:5-6 was one of those verses to me.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your paths.

What stands out to me is Trust Him, Trust Him with what you are going through today. I love that he will direct your paths. He will be your guide.

Yes, He will direct your paths.

When I was going through my journey and those many days in hospital I was comforted by the word.

I would write up scripture and place it around the room and declare it over my life.

There were many times when I cried out to God and said Lord you did it for them pointing to a person in the bible. I pray that you will do it for me.

When you are wanting to change from a very negative thinking pattern that is so ingrained in your thinking, you need to gain a new perspective on things.

It is like rewiring your brain.

Worry consumed me.

What ifs… was my everyday go-to. It was always what-ifs to the negative side.

Changing how you think is a huge journey in itself.

When you are struggling cling to the words that can transform, lives that can change lives, that can give you a beautiful future.

Today write out scripture that speaks to you and place it somewhere and speak it out over your life.

Will share more soon.

Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests

Prayer Requestspic

I have had on my heart, to pray for others.

Do you need prayer?

Do you need someone to stand in the gap?

Do you need someone to just be there for you?

Do you someone to pray for you?

Let me know if you need anything?

Let me know if you need someone to pray for you?

I have been so blessed in my journey that someone has stood in the gap for me.

I have been so blessed to know that someone is there for me.

I have been so blessed to know that someone is praying for me.

I have had on my heart that I want to give back.

I have had on my heart that what Jesus did for me, he will do for you.

Yes, he will!

Through my journey, I have known that I need to press In and believe what Jesus says about me.

He hears you, He hears your prayer.

He is here for you.

Oh, lovely he sees you, he notices you and he hears your prayers.

Yes, he does.
