Being Creative

Being Creative

Creative Sunday

I love being creative; I love the creative process and just seeing what develops.

Creativity is fun for me.

My new song, Princess Heart, has been out for a week now, and it is such a dream for me.

I am so grateful for everyone who has helped along the way and for everyone who has listened to the song.

I love the day before release, when you look at Spotify and your song isn’t there, and then, on the day of release, it is.

I love to sing, and I am always singing; I think if I am not singing, then there is something not quite okay.

Lately I have been loving junk journalling. There is so much to discover.

I love that it is called junk journalling; it doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be whatever you want it to be.

I have decided to fill up some of my notebooks. I don’t know about you, but I have quite a collection of notebooks that I had started in and then not finished.

I really can’t stop buying them when I see one that I haven’t got, well….. I really like the ones with blank pages. Oh, and yes, I did buy a new one in the school holidays; it was perfect for junk journalling.

So, in the school holidays I decided to work through one of my notebooks to finish, and I am loving the process. I have been using stickers, paper, washi tape, card, coloured paper and decorated paper.  A lot of the supplies I am using I already have. I really haven’t had to buy anything for it, only double-sided glue tape.

I find it is such a nice thing to do after work instead of scrolling on my phone.

I am creating and discovering things.

Have you tried junk journalling?

I would love to see what you have created.

Will share more soon.

Day Twenty Six #makingadifferenceinmay2014

Life and the Single Christian Girl…………..

The last few days I have spent quietly, drawing, reflecting and working on being creative.

I have been thinking about what I want to work on this term and about balancing life and work.

I have decided for this term that I am going to get back into boxing.

That I have really felt inspired to write some worship songs and also to work on my book Princess Heart.

I have been feeling a bit like I am in a fog lately and really couldn’t think what was wrong with me or why I didn’t have much energy.

So today I went to the Doctors to see the results from my blood test and have found out that my iron is very low.

So no wonder I was feeling a bit down and not that motivated about things.

I knew that it had to be related to low iron.

So hopefully in the next few weeks my energy will pick up and I will find myself thinking clearly.

Also I will be able to get out and do the things that I really love.

At the moment I am feeling like I am walking with concrete as shoes. That is how I can describe having low iron.

This is easily fixed and I am grateful for being able to see a Doctor and have access to healthcare.

I am also grateful for the time that I have had to work on my art, to write down and record some lyrics for songs.

I am also reading an amazing book which is called The Jesus Hearted Woman. It is all about women in leadership.

I know that we are all in a leadership role whatever we are doing. People are watching us.

I know that the schools I work at I want to be a role model for the students, to give them hope.

I look at every single student and see their potential.

I want to give them hope and let them know that they can achieve great things.

Who can you encourage today?

How are you going to encourage them?

Can you do a random act of kindness for someone today?

This week I am going to look on purpose to encourage someone who really needs it.

Will share more tomorrow.

Loves and Hugs
