November Challenge

I have had an amazing weekend.
Friday night I had Youth Group and I spoke about Prayer. I loved preparing for the night and developing a power point display and creating a Prayer handout.
Yesterday I attended a conference about Youth Ministry. I loved catching up with people who I hadn’t seen for a while, meeting new people and learning. I love learning and I know that I do not want to stop.
The conference went from 1pm until just after 9pm. They had great electives, it was really hard having to just select two, I did mange though.
This morning it was an early start and I was on the worship team at church. Love to worship.
My day didn’t end after church, we then attended the Hills Church Together. This was a really nice time where churches from the community met up together. We had our worship team and it was so nice to sing outside in nature.

It was peaceful it was just beautiful.
I also had a time to share about Chaplaincy.

Now I am home and reflecting on the weekend, yes I am tired but it is a great tired.
I feel like I have experienced so much this weekend.

I am also so grateful for the experience that I had this weekend.

I am ready and expectant for the week.

Today’s challenge was to take a picture of solitude.
My life at the moment is really busy and I love it.
I really do and I am learning so much on this amazing journey.
I do need to remember to take some time out and just to recharge.
My photo is of a candle, I love this candle and I brought it a in the last school holidays.
For me a candle means light, it’s calming and it sets the atmosphere.

November Challenge a Photo a Day

I haven’t blogged for about a week. Last week I had a cold but it wasn’t that bad that I needed to take some time off work. I did take a break from writing though.
I pushed through the week, knowing that I could somehow catch up with some rest on the weekend. Which I did need too and today I am feeling better.
So now I am back and participating in the November Challenge of taking a Photo a day.
It starts today, Yeah!!!!

I am really excited about blogging and generally just writing again.

My picture today is of coloured tape and I have been wanting to buy some and try it out for a while.
If you know me you will know that one of the things that I really like is stationary.

I just can’t resist notebooks, new pens, different to do list, memo board, I really can’t.

October 2014

It is really nice to have a weekend, even though my weekend is productive it is still nice to have the time.
I have had a really full week and I loved it.
Friday night saw me going to youth group, I will let you know what is happening there next month.
Then I came home and worked on my Facebook pages and updating some of my social media pages.
Yesterday was my stay at home day and I have been reading (researching) and just learning about how to run a youth group.
It was also a day of watching some DVD’s and just embracing the day.
I really want to this term try and be able to commit to the work and home balance.
So far I know it is going well.

This morning I was up early and headed to church for worship practice. I love being on the worship team at church and feel so very blessed.
Last year I was really searching for a new church to go to and I visited some amazing churches.
I am now planted in a church around about where I am working and it has been an amazing blessing to me.

Now I am home and I really want to get back to my reading.
I am reading two books at a time. I know you may be thinking how is this possible? Well for me one is research and the other one that I am will be starting today is Girls with Swords.
Girls with Swords is written by Lisa Bevere who is an amazing Christian and I was so blessed to see her speak at Colour Conference.
