Life and the Single Christian Girl………………..

 

Mondays is my day where I have a day off.

I am grateful for this day and the extra time that I am able to run around and get everything done.

I am finding that my to do list on a Monday is huge and it is just like having a day at work.

I do achieve a lot of things, but it makes me think why is my list so full and how can I spread everything over the week?

 

MMMHHHHH!!

It makes me think-

Why do I pack my day so full of things?

 

What would happen if I lost my planner?

 

What would I do if I didn’t plan anything for one day?

 

What would I do if I didn’t have a list of things to do?

 

How would I cope?

 

These are all very good questions to ask.

 

I know that my planner, is important and when I look back at the end of the year it is a reflection of what I have achieved.

 

What can I say I am a list girl!

 

Even at work I have my list and I need it to organise my day.

 

How does your day look?

 

Is it cramped full of to do lists?

 

How about scheduling some time for yourself and I am talking to myself as well.

 

We need to make an appointment with ourselves.

We need to take some time out for ourselves, and then we will be better at caring for others.

 

Self-care is important place your name where the Self is

………………………-care is important.

 

Yes it is.

 

Take some time out for yourself and let me know what you do for yourself.

Life and the Single Christian Girl………………….

 

I am really enjoying my Sundays.

 

Today I have decided to stay home for the day. 

I am learning how to take time out.

 

It’s a time of reflection for the week and to see how I am going with my projects.

 

It is also important for me to have a nice balance of work and home.  This is an ongoing goal of mine for this year. All I can say is that I am giving it a go this year.

 

Today I have been working on some of my projects which I am really enjoying.

 

I am speaking next week to a group of women so I have been preparing for what I am going to share with them.

I will be sharing my testimony with them.

 

I am really excited about this opportunity.

 

Saying yes to new experiences.

 

Also it goes with my May theme of Making a Difference.

 

Saying yes can be very scary but, if you don’t have a go then you will never know what you are capable off.

 

I am also speaking next Tuesday at WOW which is Women of Worth. I love the name and I feel quite privileged to have been able to speak there.

 

So I will be working on this talk as well.

 I will be sharing all about the Princess Heart Journey.

 

Good things, exciting opportunities are happening and I love that.

Worship

 

Tonight I was so blessed to be able to attend

Eastgate’s Church open mic and jam night.

 

I had been waiting for an opportunity to sing with other singers.

 

Tonight I sang How He Love Us and I will Exalt You.

I sang with passion, I sung with all of my heart.

 

It was amazing and I enjoyed it so much.

 

I have realised that worshipping is what I want to do, what I was made to do.

 

When I worship I am right in the moment, I am not thinking about anything else.

 

I am happy and peaceful.

 

I am not really sure how to share the experience fully.

 

I have shared some of the pictures from the night.

Friday

 

Wow! I cannot believe that it is Friday and the first week of school has finished.

It has been an amazing full week and I have loved every minute of it.

 

I love my job I know that I have said it before.

 

I love my job.

 

I pray that I can make a difference in the schools that I work in. I love chatting with the children, the staff and the parent. It is such a rewarding career.

 

Today I was so blessed one of the parent made me a onesie and oh my goodness the detail that went into it. It is fully lined it has a hood which is lined and has ears and also a tail. I am amazed at the work that has gone into it.

 

Tonight my beautiful friend invited me to go and hear some girls talking about Gen Y.

 

They were amazing and so full of knowledge, wisdom and courage. We met some amazing women and I am so grateful to have been able to attend.

 

They really encouraged me.

 

It made me think about who are your role models?

Making a Difference in May

 

I find myself now in another Month with another 31 days of blogging.

 

I am really looking forward to this month.

 

As you know from my past blogs I want to make a difference, I want to make an impact in the community to meet the needs with the gifts and strengths I have.

 

I want to leave a legacy. Wow!

 

Some of my ideas for making a difference in May are-

  • Working on my book 365 days
  • Blogging every single day of May
  • Working through Beth Moore’s book- Whispers of Hope
  • Teaching Zumba®- learning new routines
  • Writing letters to my sponsor child who is in the Philippines
  • The A21 Campaign- getting involved
  • Setting up a support group for people who are recovering from an Eating Disorder
  • Writing two songs
  • Being able to speak and share my testimony
  • Working on Life and the Single Christian Girl

I also want to continue to make a difference where I work as well.

 

I am thinking that this may sound a bit ambitious.

 

The list looks huge and that’s okay.

 

It is good to have a plan.

Life and the Single Christian Girl……..

 

Yeah!!!!!

I have made it to the Thirtieth of April, I have blogged every single day.

It is a commitment and I love it.

 

 

Today at work we were talking about how we nurture our creative side and what we like to do.

I know that Pinterest came up and I love that website it’s a great place to get ideas.

 

I must say that I do have to limit my time on it. Whoops!!

 

We also spoke about writing and how therapeutic that is.

 

At the beginning of the year I started a project which is 365 days. Someone else is going through the 365 day book. This is where we do something creative in a book for the whole year. It is one page a day and you can create on it whatever you like.

It is also something else that I find I am enjoying.

 

It will be very interesting to see how 2014 was and what happened.

 

I love being around other people who like creativity and hearing about what interests them. It feeds our creativity when we hear others talking so passionately about what they are doing.

 

Life and the Single Christian Girl is going well.

I have a few goals that I would like to achieve next month.

Who knows what is going to happen, who I will meet and what I will do.

 

So tomorrow will be May and there will be some new challenges that I would like to do.

I won’t tell you today I will let you know tomorrow.

Life and the Single Christian Girl…………..

 

I have found myself nearly at the end of another month and tomorrow I will have blogged for two months.

Wow!

 

When I first started this challenge in March I never imagined that I would still be blogging everyday.

 

I have really enjoyed it and it has expanded my creativity.

 

I feel quite excited to write, now I have the need the urge the desire to write.

 

I am also learning about spelling and grammar. I might not get it right all the time, I am just having a go.

 

I am learning as I go.

 

It reminds me of a saying you don’t have to have everything perfect to start something.

 

Start something now.

 

Two new ideas have happened out of writing everyday they are two new projects for me to work on or they could be a title of a book, or a workshop or a talk.

 

One is #spacetocreate all about making time to create original art. Taking the time to look around me and taking in my surroundings and seeing what I can create.

 

The other project that I have is the title Life and the Single Christian Girl, which is all about my life and what I am doing while I wait for the husband that I have been praying for.

 

 

Life is definitely not boring, it’s an adventure and I want to embrace the day with all I have.

 

I want each day to have a great memory.

 

I also want to take time out each day to make a difference.

 

It might be a smile to someone, It may be asking someone how they are or just sitting and listening to someone. 

I really want to give that person my full attention.

 

Just sitting and really listening to someone

 

 

 

I hope that when I make a difference that I can do it well, with integrity and to be authentic.

My last day off before I go back to school tomorrow.  I am really looking forward to catching up with everyone.

It seems so strange a few years ago I was in a career when I would only take 2 weeks of a year.  I never wanted to take holidays.

Now I have to take holidays and do you know what I love it.

I love the time to be able to take the break and to come back refreshed.

I have found that it is really good for you, to take the time off.  It has taken me a while to discover this.

I have also discovered sleeping in I love it.

 

I think that having this time off has made me think that I need to look after myself.

 

I eat properly so that is not an issue.

 

I want to get stronger, physically.

 

I am involved in learning Samba dancing which I really love.  I will be continuing it helps me when I teach Zumba®.

 

Lately I have been thinking about going back to boxing. I really love it.

 

I love the challenge of first starting out and doing the warm up. The warm up involves a combination of skipping, weights, push ups, sit ups and planking. Then we get into the boxing with the boxing bags and shuttle runs. Oh those shuttle runs.

I find that when I am boxing I can let the things that happen in the day go. It’s a relaxation for me, I am focusing on what I need to do in the moment. It is also good because it has a time limit on it 1 hour.  I need to have this for boundaries.

 

So what do you like to do that helps you relax?

 

Is it something physical or is it something creative?

 

I like to mix it up a bit and do a bit of both.

Life and the Single Christian Girl……………

 

So what does a Single Christian Girl do when she buys something from Ikea that needs to be put together?

I hear you say read the directions, Yes done.

I still cannot work it out so I think that my brother in law needs a project.

 

So that is what I did I went around to his and my sister’s house and he set it up. Whew, thank you.

 

So now I have my new art and craft trolley.

I also found out that my vacuum cleaner is no longer working. So I will need to invest in another one.

 

Sunday afternoons are just lovely. Today we have had some much needed rain.  I love hearing the rain on my roof. We really need the rain.

 

I have really enjoyed the holidays and have sorted through items and made new creative areas.

 

I have really enjoyed being able to write and create some art.

I also have been reading a book called Queen Bees and

Wannabees it’s about helping girls through their

Pre-teen and their Teen years. I am looking forward to reading more of it.

Life and the Single Christian Girl Continues…….

 

It seems lately when I turn the TV on or I am on Facebook that I happen to catch something about eating disorders.

This is another post that I feel quite vulnerable posting.

My decision for writing this is, if I want to make a difference I need to write about what I am passionate about.

 

Yesterday In my post I placed a picture of my purpose statement.

 

I had been thinking a lot about Princess Heart Journey which is about sharing my journey and what I have been through. I was thinking and praying if this was still a need and if I wanted to continue it.

I know that I have found an answer to my prayer.

YES!!!!!!!!!

There is a need to share my journey, I want to share my journey of recovery.

I want to let people know that there is recovery that there is hope and that you are so worth it.

 

I am happy to share my journey.

I am so passionate about seeing people recover.

 

 I really want to encourage girls and women that they deserve to live a life, to live a beautiful full life.

I don’t know where you are in your journey, can I encourage you don’t give up.

 

 

There are people who are out there, that want to help you. There really is.

 

I didn’t think that I would find the right Doctor the right place to recover it happened. I am so grateful for all the people that helped me in my journey of recovery.

 

I am not going to say it was easy it wasn’t but I wanted to live, I wanted to make a difference and help others.
