Prayer

I love the start of the year and was thinking about how much I really miss praying for others.

I had also been thinking about prayer and how I would love a prayer warrior.

I had been reading my bible one morning during the holidays and was praying when I had a thought about -why cannot I be a prayer warrior?

Wow! A bit out there, really.

I would really love to pray for others this year.

So, I was thinking how can I do this?

I would really love The Heart Project to be a community that could encourage and help others.

The Heart Project is here to support and encourage each other.

Worthy, Valued and Loved is The Heart Projects heart.

If you need prayer please comment below, I would love to pray for you.

Be encouraged

The Scales

The Scales

thescalespic

The Scale will never rule my life again.

Do you have a scale at home that you weigh yourself on?

If you do throw it out. Wow that is such a radical thought.

At first, I wanted the comfort of the scales I wanted to know that they were in my house and that I had access to them anytime I wanted. In a way they had complete control over me and they dictated to me whether I would have a good day or a bad day depending on what they said.

Oh, my goodness looking back now I cannot believe that I let something so insignificant have control over my life. How could scales tell you how to feel that can’t even talk. They cannot say Hello Tracey how are you this morning stand on me and I will tell you what sort of day you are going to have. Well going by that number your day is going to be horrible.

Can they?

I cannot believe how much power I gave them.

We all need to reclaim the power back from them. No object should tell us how we are feeling or what our day is going to look like.

No object should have control over us.

No object should have that much power over one person.

Today is the day where you can reclaim your life.

When I came back from hospital I had scales in my bathroom and yes, I did continue to weigh myself for a little while.

Then I had one of those moments (one of those light bulb moments) where I thought I need to throw them out. I need to get them out of my house.

They had been sort of a friend for a while but what it a really healthy friendship?

Is it really healthy to have a friend that is always saying to you, sorry you are just not good enough you just don’t measure up? You need to lose more kilos?

The day came were I took control back of my life from the scales.

I went into the bathroom, picked them up and walked confidently and with purpose to the big bin out the front of my house.

I flung open the lid of the bin, threw the scales in and shut the lid then I walked back to my house promising myself that I would never allow scales to have a place in my home or life again.

And they haven’t.

Wake Up!

Wake Up!

wakeuppic

On Thursday, I had my niece over for a sleep over and I love having her over. There is nothing like being in the moment enjoying adventures, watching movies and eating. We went to bed early on Thursday night and she was looking forward to watching a new series that she found on TV.

I woke the next morning around 4am, yeah, I thought to myself I can sleep some more. I snuggled into the pillow and closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The next thing I knew someone had shouted BOO! I woke from my sleep startled, disorientated and slightly confused. I screamed that half asleep half asleep kind of scream. I opened my eyes and standing next to my bed was my niece smiling and laughing. I was caught off guard I thought that I was having some sort of heart attack (sorry exaggerating there).

By this time my niece was laughing and I said to her “Why did you wake me up like that?”

She said that she was going to say wake up its going to be a great day, come on get up. Let’s enjoy the day.

I said to her that would have been nicer.

It made me think about our lives and are we going through our lives half asleep or are we fully awake?

Do we know what we are doing?

Do we know what direction we are going?

Are we fully embracing our lives or are we missing out on things?

Are we in the moment in our daily lives or our we thinking about what we have to do next?

Do you need someone to say to you Boo! Get up come on, it’s going to be a beautiful day, come on, let’s go?

If I am really honest, Yes, every now and then I need someone to say to me Boo! Come on the world is waiting there are endless possibilities. What are you going to be missing out on, look around?

Open your eyes and look really look.

I don’t want to miss out on opportunities this year.

I want to spend more time fully in the moment.

I want to spend more time investing in being in the moment more.

Wake up, lovely and see watch is happening today.

Ask, Seek, Knock

Ask, Seek, Knock

Daily Reading- Matthew 7:7-8

Daily Devotional-

The verse from Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that He will do a new thing, he will make a road in the wilderness.

It reminds me in Matthew 7:7-8 that He encourages us to ask, seek and knock.

The start of the new year is one that encourages me to dream big and to pray big.

What are you praying for this year?

Is this your year for a breakthrough?

Was 2016 a bit of a wilderness year?

Lean on His promise that He will do a new thing for you.

How do we go about asking, seeking and knocking?

The start of the new year is one that encourages me to dream big and to pray big. Consider starting this year with buying yourself a new beautiful journal and a pen that you will love to write with. Treat yourself to a new journal and pen if you like.

Sit down in your favourite place with your new journal, pen and your Bible. Don’t forget to make yourself a nice tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Put on some worship music and turn off your phone. Start by thanking God for all that He did for you in 2016. Be grateful.

Write out a scripture that has spoken to you and then write out a scripture for 2017.  Spend some time with him and lean in and listen to His still small voice.

Then write out your desires for, ask Him to make a way and then go out seeking opportunities and knocking on new open doors.  Be open to new experiences.  Take a step of faith. Be brave.  Say yes to Him.

His Promise

His Promise

Daily Reading- Romans 8:28

Daily Devotional-

Read Romans 8:28 out loud- And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God to those who are called according to His purpose.

In the verse, we see that -All things work out according to His purpose.

Be encouraged.

This is a scripture to hold onto when you are going through those difficult times. Difficult times do happen and it is the way that we respond to them that makes the difference on how we get through them.

Write the scripture out and place it somewhere that you will see it every day. This is a reminder of His promise.

Whatever happens in our life we know that he is with us.

We know that God will bring us through these hard times. Stay in faith, pray and ask for others to pray for you.

Trust that He will work it out for your good, you may not see it or know how He will work it out but keep stepping forward. He has amazing plans for you and He needs you to keep walking forward. Be brave.

When he brings you through things this is your testimony for others to help and encourage them.

Your testimony will be powerful because it shows that you are a strong woman of faith. It shows Gods strength in you.

Have faith.
