Do you every wonder if you are creative?

A few years ago if anyone had said that to me I would have said no, I am not very good.

I attended some art therapy workshops through my journey which really helped. At first I didn’t want to draw on the paper, I would just stare at it wondering where to start, what too create on it. I hadn’t at that stage realised that if I made a mistake I could rub it out, throw out the paper and get a new one or I could use that mistake and make something out of it.

It took me a few weeks to break through this and then I started to create. I started calling my artwork abstract which freed me up to try new things and to mix up art mediums.

Fast forward a few years and now I find myself in a season loving being creative. This is not only with art it also includes singing, dancing, song writing, blogging, speaking and photography.

Being creative for me also includes how you decorate your house, your office, cooking and the way you dress.

I want to be creative everyday.

Creativity is all around us, we just need to stop have a look.

What do you see?

What do you see on your way to work, what do you hear?

I know that we are all creative.

My thought for this week is what could you do to start the creative journey?

I know that I am designed to be creative.

However that looks, I am happy with it.

Will share more soon.

I love Pinterest, I don’t know if you have ever discovered this site it is amazing.  A friend of mine told me about it a few years ago and every time I saw her she asked “Have you been on Pinterest yet?”

Then I discovered it, let’s just say for someone who loves creating and loves quotes this was an amazing source of inspiration.

I find that when I just want to relax I will go on it and see what I can find. I could spend quite a while on it.

The other day I was looking at fundraising ideas and I came across a tee shirt, the description that described what it was about said that purchasing this tee shirt would go towards helping someone recover from an Eating Disorder.

I thought, what a great idea.

Vulnerable moment-

I know that when I was going through my journey the cost that was involved to recover can add up. I am blessed that I had private health cover which helped a lot.

I know that it can be concerning when you want to recover but then there is a money issue.

I would never want anyone to stop asking for help, just because of their financial situation.

I have spoken with other people who have been on the journey about the cost. What do you do if you don’t have private health cover, what do you do if you don’t have the money so see the specialist or to pay for any medication you may need at the time?

One of my hopes and dreams would be to set up and help fundraise. This is what The Heart Project is all about reaching out and helping others.

The tee shirt ideas would be fantastic I would really love to have a beautiful picture on it and then the words-

FOR HER FUTURE

I don’t know how it would all work at the moment, but I know that if you have a passion to help others you will find a way.

FOR HER FUTURE

I cannot wait to get started.

I will share more soon.

This week has been amazing, I have enjoyed every moment.

I started the week by seeing a friend who also is such an inspiring mentor. We spent some time sitting in a café across the road was the beach, which is a really nice setting for some inspiration.  We chatted and worked on creative goals.

Then Tuesday I went to the movies to see Cinderella which is a beautiful movie. I loved it. There was a quote in Cinderella which said-

Have Courage and Be Kind

I loved that I went with my sister, my sister in law my two older nieces and my sister in laws family.

Hearing the comments and the laughs from my nieces made the experience even more memorable.

Thursday I had a great afternoon with my sister we went into the City (Perth) and explored. We shopped, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we took photos and we explored the City.

I have spent most of this week catching up with friends and family. I have loved this week sharing coffee, laughing and creating memories that I will hold onto.

I want to be able to embrace opportunities to catch up with friends, to have fun and to just enjoy life.

So I want to make time to-

  • Catch up with Family
  • Catch up with Friends
  • Be adventurous
  • Go out for Coffee
  • Explore

What will you make time for?

Why not call someone and invite them out for coffee

Will share more soon.

I am now on school holidays which are great.

It is a time to just slow down and to spend some time reflecting on what I am doing and what I need to put into place to reach my goals for this year.

My goals are always-

  • I want to make a difference and
  • I want to leave a legacy.

I am having a little staycation, where I have been spending some much needed time at home. I love it.

Today I just embraced the day. I have spent the day at home just being, not rushing around, and not having to be anywhere.

I spent some time creating making this sign which I love-

I have also gone back to having singing lessons which I love.

Today has been such a great time of embracing creativity and realising what I need to do.

I know that next term I will be attending boxing at least twice a week.

I will be teaching a dance class once a week.

I will be attending a Samba workshop.

I also want to be singing and songwriting.

I am also looking for a guitarist.

Now it is time to put all of the above into practise.

I am very excited and committed to making 2015 an exciting year full of possibilities.

How are your goals going?

What do you need to do?

Will share more soon.
