Today in Australia we are celebrating Mother’s Day.

 

Happy Mother’s Day, to my Mum and to all the other Mums.

 

We celebrated Mother’s day by visiting my Mum and then we all went to a café to have coffee, tea and snacks.

This morning I also went to church and I am attending a new church which I love.

 

The message was great about solving conflict, effectively.

Something that I think we all need a little help with.

 

 

This morning I was so caught up in Worship, I could have stayed in this attitude for a while. It was peaceful and calm. Love to worship.

So now I am home and reflecting on the weekend. I love the weekend. There was a time where I worked every Saturday night for about 10 years. Now I think what was that about? No wonder I am single. Only joking really.

 

So now you can see why I love my weekends. I am making up for lost time.

 

I really enjoyed making the crown for my niece yesterday. It’s the little things that can bring you so much joy. I love seeing the joy when you hand make something for someone. Made with love.xx  A new idea has been created.

 

I might have to start my own crown making business. Mmmhhhhhhhh!  I already have three orders. Family……….

 

Just some random thoughts for today.

Life and the Single Christian Girl…………

 

Last night I saw that I had a missed call on my phone it was from my sister in law. So I phoned her back.

 

She said that my niece wanted me to make her a crown because I have lots of craft items at my house and it had to have a nine on it.

 

Of course I had to make a crown for my beautiful niece.

 

So I arrived home last night and thought about what I did have at home and if I needed to go out and buy more items.

This morning I woke up and at about 7.30am I decided to start on the crown. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to use to make it or how I was going to decorate it.

 

I found some white card and started to design it.

I really enjoyed it and I had everything that I needed for it at my house.  Amazing!!!

I worked on it for over an hour. I really enjoyed it.

 

The final result I was very happy with it.

 

I think for only one day’s notice it was worth it.

 

I love designing things and I am so happy to be able to give it to someone.

 

So this afternoon I went to my niece’s birthday and the crown was received with a big smile. There was one very happy nine year old Queen.

 

It is amazing what you can make and I love receiving handmade items. They really do come from the heart.

 

Now I have a few orders from my other niece’s and nephew for their birthdays.

 

It all good, an Aunties role is to spoil their nieces and nephew and I think that I am achieving this one.

I have had such a full week and my weekend is looking full as well.

 

It’s all good though.

 

I have one of my beautiful nieces birthday tomorrow.

 

So excited to celebrate her special day with her.

 

I found this quote that says-

 

Just because a person smiles all the time doesn’t mean their life is perfect. That smile is a symbol of hope and strength.

I love this you don’t know what a person has been through or what they are going through.

 

A smile covers so much.

 

To be able to smile after going through hard times is amazing as well.

 

You also don’t have to have it all together to try new things. If you wait for perfect conditions you may miss out.

 

Go out and have a try.

 

I had been looking at my next challenge that I want to try and I thought about going on an Ariel Trapeze.

 

Mmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

 

Sound a bit adventurous, sounds a bit scary but I have gone on a big flying fox. So my thought is maybe I can do this. I love a challenge.

 

I have found a place to be able to try it.

All I need is to muster the courage to phone up and make an appointment.

 

Yes I will do it.

No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper

I am claiming this over my life today.

It is powerful.

It has been one of those days.

 

You know those days where you feel a bit sensitive, a bit emotional a bit, umm not quite yourself?

Well that was how I was feeling today.

It really wasn’t just one person or one word.

It was just me feeling blahh!

Although sometimes people do affect you and words can hurt.

 

My emotions overtook me.

 

I knew I was in for one of those days.

 

I could feel the tears building up in my eyes, you know when you get that stinging build up in the back of your eyes.

It’s the tears starting to build up, I think that I did tear up a bit. Then I had to stuff it down.

 

We all have those days and that’s okay sometimes we just need to have a good cry. A good cry cleanses you as well.

 

I think also I received a message from some very good friends who live in Melbourne now and they asked me if I was coming over to Melbourne. They also said it would be great to catch up.

I actually really miss them and I think that the message added to how I was feeling today.

 

 

Today I did end up having a great time helping at the Mother’s Day stall. It was so much fun and I enjoyed it.

 

I definitely think that I need to go back to boxing.

Oh my goodness last night was very busy for me.

 

I was going through my list of what I needed to do. Then I was thinking about what I had to do for work the next day.

Ooohhhhhhhh!!!

 

Do you ever have days like this?

 

A bit of an overload but that’s okay, I love the diversity in my life.

 

I love living for a purpose and living on purpose.

 

May is making a difference month.

 

Last night I was going over my testimony which I am sharing tomorrow and I am really looking forward to this opportunity.

Then I was preparing for the next school holidays which I am working a few days. I love the planning, I am planning for 6 sessions. It strange to be thinking about the next school holidays we need to be able to have the program ready.

 

Then I was working on another talk that I will be sharing next week.

 

Then in June I have another talk that I will be sharing.  So I was working on that.

 

I also was preparing my blog and doing my daily 365 days book.

 

Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I did get every done that I needed too.

 

When I arrived at work today I also was able to complete my entire tasks that I needed to do.

 

I love that feeling. 

 

The feeling of being able to achieve your to do list.

 

It is a sense of accomplishment.

 

Living a full and abundant life.

Encouragement

We all need encouragement some days we need more.

I find encouragement through having sayings up around my house.

Even at my work I have encouraging sayings up for anyone that comes into my work area.

I am a visual person and seeing a great quote just reminds me that good things are going to happen.

I even write quotes on my bathroom mirror so in the morning I am starting my day with something encouraging.

Mondays is my day where I have a day off.

I am grateful for this day and the extra time that I am able to run around and get everything done.

I am finding that my to do list on a Monday is huge and it is just like having a day at work.

I do achieve a lot of things, but it makes me think why is my list so full and how can I spread everything over the week?

 

MMMHHHHH!!

It makes me think-

Why do I pack my day so full of things?

 

What would happen if I lost my planner?

 

What would I do if I didn’t plan anything for one day?

 

What would I do if I didn’t have a list of things to do?

 

How would I cope?

 

These are all very good questions to ask.

 

I know that my planner, is important and when I look back at the end of the year it is a reflection of what I have achieved.

 

What can I say I am a list girl!

 

Even at work I have my list and I need it to organise my day.

 

How does your day look?

 

Is it cramped full of to do lists?

 

How about scheduling some time for yourself and I am talking to myself as well.

 

We need to make an appointment with ourselves.

We need to take some time out for ourselves, and then we will be better at caring for others.

 

Self-care is important place your name where the Self is

………………………-care is important.

 

Yes it is.

Life and the Single Christian Girl………………….

 

I am really enjoying my Sundays.

 

Today I have decided to stay home for the day. 

I am learning how to take time out.

 

It’s a time of reflection for the week and to see how I am going with my projects.

 

It is also important for me to have a nice balance of work and home.  This is an ongoing goal of mine for this year. All I can say is that I am giving it a go this year.

 

Today I have been working on some of my projects which I am really enjoying.

 

I am speaking next week to a group of women so I have been preparing for what I am going to share with them.

I will be sharing my testimony with them.

 

I am really excited about this opportunity.

 

Saying yes to new experiences.

 

Also it goes with my May theme of Making a Difference.

 

Saying yes can be very scary but, if you don’t have a go then you will never know what you are capable off.

 

I am also speaking next Tuesday at WOW which is Women of Worth. I love the name and I feel quite privileged to have been able to speak there.

 

So I will be working on this talk as well.

 I will be sharing all about the Princess Heart Journey.

 

Good things, exciting opportunities are happening and I love that.

Worship

 

Tonight I was so blessed to be able to attend

Eastgate’s Church open mic and jam night.

 

I had been waiting for an opportunity to sing with other singers.

 

Tonight I sang How He Love Us and I will Exalt You.

I sang with passion, I sung with all of my heart.

 

It was amazing and I enjoyed it so much.

 

I have realised that worshipping is what I want to do, what I was made to do.

 

When I worship I am right in the moment, I am not thinking about anything else.

 

I am happy and peaceful.

 

I am not really sure how to share the experience fully.

Friday

 

Wow! I cannot believe that it is Friday and the first week of school has finished.

It has been an amazing full week and I have loved every minute of it.

 

I love my job I know that I have said it before.

 

I love my job.

 

I pray that I can make a difference in the schools that I work in. I love chatting with the children, the staff and the parent. It is such a rewarding career.

 

Today I was so blessed one of the parent made me a onesie and oh my goodness the detail that went into it. It is fully lined it has a hood which is lined and has ears and also a tail. I am amazed at the work that has gone into it.

 

Tonight my beautiful friend invited me to go and hear some girls talking about Gen Y.

 

They were amazing and so full of knowledge, wisdom and courage. We met some amazing women and I am so grateful to have been able to attend.

 

They really encouraged me.
