March Challenge 2014 Completed

 

 

So the day has come, it’s the end of March and I have blogged every day. Yeah! I am really excited.

The challenge is completed.

I have learnt a lot about myself being involved in this challenge. I know that I can commit and achieve things.

It has been challenging but all together it has been fun. Creativity is what I want to do and what I want to be involved in.

I don’t know yet what I will do for next month, I do know that this is only the beginning and I cannot wait to see what happens for the rest of the year.

 

Thankyou for being patient and supporting me with the challenge.

 

 

I think that I have finally realised that I need to write about what I am passionate about and to write with feeling.

I have learnt to place my feelings into words and to share them onto paper. I have also learnt to be a little more confident when posting my blogs.  This has taken a bit of courage.

Day Thirty

 

I have reached day thirty of my #marchchallenge2014.

Wow!

 

It has been exciting and a new adventure.

 

I didn’t know that when I started that I would actually commit to the challenge, that I would be able to blog everyday of March.

 

I have one day to go and I am really looking forward to tomorrow.

 

I am really ready for another challenge for April, not sure what that will look like at the moment. I will let you know.

 

 

Some ideas to think about for April are-

• Write a song-commit to writing four songs for the month of April.
• Writing in my Princess Heart Journey blog three times a week.
• Making time to for #spacetocreate.
• Working on creating a website for Princess Heart Journey.
• Learn to play my guitar.
• Recording the songs that I have already written.
• Looking at studying.
• Samba lessons on Tuesday night for the month of April.
• Finishing my draft for Princess Heart Journey Journal.
• Working on Princess Heart Journey book committing to writing twice a week.
• I also want to share my testimony with women and girls.

 

 

I do know that I want to create, create, and create more.

Saturday

 

I enjoy Saturdays a time to sleep in and then I have my Samba class. Love it.

I have decided that after a few weeks of having lots of things on, that this weekend will be a time of just being home. I want to have time to read some books that I have been wanting to read. The books that I have will help me in my work and it is also research.

 

I also have some books on leadership and will be looking at styles of writing to help me with my own writing style.

 

I am really excited for this time, the weather outside is over cast and there has been a little bit of rain. Yeah, perfect conditions for a weekend of reading, writing and being creative.

 

Time to just chill out a bit.

I am expecting to have a great weekend and looking forward to what I am able to achieve.

I have 3 more days of #marchchallenge2014, I cannot believe that it will be finishing soon. I am a bit sad about it.

I have loved the challenge of blogging every day and talking a photo of something. It has been quite refreshing.

Today I had a beautiful day at work, I love my job as a Chaplain. I love being able to listen and help others. I am passionate about what I do and I really want to make a difference.

I often ask myself these questions when I am looking at doing something different.

This year I really want to look at balancing my life, balance my work and home. There are some things that I have had to let go and for this season that is quite okay. There are some things that I wanted to try like Ice skating and this is okay as well. I really like to have new adventures.

I have been really focusing on self-care as well. This was raised in our Chaplain’s Conference about taking care of ourselves. I am working on this and have realised that being creative is what I want to continue with in my life.

Stationary

 

I love stationary I love going into those lovely shops that have, journals, notebook, pens, stickers and all those great creative items.

 

I love having them around me and this year I created a creative space in my house and I just love it. It helps with the inspiration by having all the items available. It lets me be creative. It motivates me to be creative.

I have learnt in the last month that I love creating and I want to continue creating. That maybe by studying art therapy, finishing writing my book, working on my journal or continuing to blog. Create, create, create.

I am just happy to have the opportunity to create.

What is it that you like creating?

Creating can consist of art, singing, writing, the way you decorate your house and many more.

 

How do you create in your life?

We are all creative.

What helps me is having a beautiful notepad and a lovely pen, this really inspires me.

I don’t need any more stationary items, really I don’t. I just find it really hard to walk past a shop that sells stationary, I have to go in and I need to see what they have.

Can you ever have enough stationary?

A letter from my Sponsor Child

 

Today I received a letter from my sponsor child, she lives in the Philippines. I love receiving these letters I get to hear what she is doing and how she is being helped by the project she attends.

I started sponsoring her in 2004 I went to a conference and there was a stand about sponsoring children. It really tugged at my heart and I really felt that I wanted to help. So I went over to the stand and my heart broke for the children that needed help.

Then I made the decision and sponsored my sponsor child. Driving home I just felt so excited and I really wanted to do more.

I ended up being an advocate and I loved every minute of it. The people I met, the conferences that we attended the children who were sponsored.

Loved it.

My sponsor child writes a lot to me and I have every single letter that she has written to me.

The first time I received a letter from her I cried, it made me realise that the decision I had made will make a difference. It will help her in her education, for her health, for her social skills and for her family.

I feel very blessed that I am able to help out a child in another country.

I cannot wait to hear from her again.

I will be writing back to her very soon.

My dream to make a difference.

Tuesday

 

Today I was back at work and we had interschool swimming carnival. I love my job as a Chaplain I love the variety and the people that I am able to meet. I am blessed to have the opportunity to do things that I wouldn’t normally do.

Today was one of those days where I was able to announce the first, second, third and fourth places at the carnival. It was quite exciting letting everyone know what was happening and having them cheering for their school. I also noticed the hard work and dedication of the students to their swimming and their school. I also love the community where I work there were so many parents that volunteered to help today. It is great to see the community coming together and helping with the next generation.

 

 

The students all did their very best and put in a hundred and one per cent. I am sure that they will sleep well tonight. The teachers also need to be acknowledged for their dedication to their students.

I learnt a lot today, I saw dedication, commitment, passion and also great sportsmanship.

Well done to everyone that was involved you are amazing.

Monday

 

I have really enjoyed today getting back into a routine after Conference.

Monday is my day off and I am so grateful for these days. It means that I can do all my running around today instead of on the weekend.

I have felt really peaceful and inspired today. Inspired to be able to create, take photos, write and go through my crafts items.

I am really enjoying my time off from studying. I have been studying for the last 2 years and having this time off has allowed me to explore life more.

I am thinking of going back to study and am looking at studying art therapy which is what I am really interested in.  

I have eight more days left of my #marchchallenge2014 and this has made me think what I am going to do for April-

• Another challenge perhaps?
• Exploring #spacetocreate?
• To continue working on my blog and to keep writing?
• To write more songs?
• To practise my guitar?
• To record the songs I have already written.
• To finish the journal of Princess Heart?
• To work on finishing my book Princess Heart, working on a chapter a day?

 

So much to decide on, I like a challenge that has a timeline I find that this works for me.

Sunday

I think that the week has finally caught up with me.

 

So today I have just decided to stay at home and just relax.

I have worked on the design of my blog and am trying new themes. I have a new blog design at the moment and will work on it during the week. It’s quite fun just exploring new ideas and trying to see how things work. I am happy with the design at the moment and will see how I go with it.

I have also listened to a great podcast from Holly Wagner from one of her God Chick’s Conference it was about sharing you story. It was just what I needed to hear today as I really want to work on Princess Heart Journey. Sharing Stories and helping the community. I know that I will listen to it again as it was very helpful.

I have also just been able to explore art and draw and experiment with different ideas.

It’s nice just to be at home and to surround yourself with the things that you enjoy.

It is also I have noticed from last week’s Conference to look after yourself and to practise self-care. So I am going to allow the time to do something creative during the week.

Take some time out during the week to do something that you enjoy.

If you need to write it in your planner and highlight it you are important.

Creative

 

I have been really enjoying #marchchallenge2014 it has really pushed my boundaries in creativity.

I am enjoying the challenge of keeping to a deadline of blogging every day, it takes discipline and posting what I have written takes courage. Aaahh! I have also been looking around for what pictures to take being really intentional. It has increased my view of my day and it also is creating memories.

 

I have also developed #spacetocreate which is where I am allowing time to create art of my own.

 

I have also found myself meeting people who are passionate about art about creativity. I love chatting to people about what they are doing it really encourages me and inspires me to create more.

 Be brave and create.
